Disney Vacation Club-1 Bedrooms

Copper Creek 1 bedroom

One Bedroom Kitchen and Living Area- Copper Creek Villas at Wilderness Lodge

DVC accommodations offer one, two, or three-bedroom options that provide guests with a comfortable and homely experience. These rooms come equipped with full-size kitchens and dedicated bedrooms that resemble an apartment or even a house. One-Bedroom units have the highest vacancy rate of any other DVC accommodation and are usually the easiest to book. The main competition for a One-Bedroom Villa is a Studio. While both have the same occupancy (4 or 5), One-Bedroom Villas have twice the space, a full kitchen, and a separate bedroom, compared to Studios. This means that guests staying in One-Bedroom Villas can enjoy the convenience of a larger room and additional amenities. The Cabins at Fort Wilderness are classified as a one-bedroom unit. They sleep six.

Each One-Bedroom Villa includes a separate bedroom, a living/dining area that can be converted into a sleeping area, and a full-sized kitchen. While most One-Bedroom Villas have one bathroom, Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village, Bay Lake Tower, and Villas at the Grand Californian have two bathrooms. Most One-Bedroom Villas can accommodate up to five people or allow a fifth person in the room, but DVC does not provide sleeping arrangements for the extra person. Copper Creek and the Value units at Animal Kingdom-Jambo House are exceptions to this rule, as only four people can stay in these rooms.

The master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, a chair, and possibly a desk. The bathroom is usually located closest to the master bedroom.

The living room of the villa has sleeping arrangements for two or three guests, which can be converted into a bedroom at night. The sleeping options include a fold-out queen couch or a fold-down queen Murphy bed. For accommodating a fifth person, there will be a sleeper chair or a pull-down bed in the available rooms. If there are any renovations happening, the sleeper sofa may be replaced with a pull-down queen-size Murphy bed. During the day, these units function as a couch, and the Murphy bed pulls down over it at night.

The living area will also have a couch that can be converted into a bed at night, along with a coffee table or ottoman. A dedicated dining area has a table and chairs or a table with a bench and chairs. Unlike the Studio, the villa's kitchen is a full kitchen with major appliances, including a stove/oven, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, sink with disposal, and a built-in microwave. The cabinets are fully stocked with pots and pans, cookware, plates, silverware, and glasses.

The bathrooms in the villa typically have a walk-in shower and a separate large tub, with the exception of Animal Kingdom-Jambo House, where the bathroom only has a shower/tub combination. An added benefit of staying in Animal Kingdom Villa-Kidani Village, Bay Lake Tower, and the Villas at Grand Californian is that there is a second bathroom available. Additionally, unlike the Studio, One-Bedroom Villas have a washer and dryer in the unit.

One-Bedroom-Size

It's worth noting that One-Bedroom Villas come in different sizes. The smallest One-Bedroom Villas are the Jambo House-Value rooms (Animal Kingdom Villas), which measure 629 square feet, while the largest are found at Old Key West, measuring 1,005 square feet. However, most One-Bedroom Villas tend to fall in the 700-825 square feet range. The Cabins at Fort Wilderness are classified as a one-bedroom units and the are the smallest at 533 square feet.

One-Bedroom-Point Requirement

The fewest points required for a One-Bedroom Villa are the Value units at Animal Kingdom Villa-Jambo House. For 2024 these units go for an average of 22.1 points/night. The highest points/night is for an Aulani Ocean View that goes for an average of 52.8 points/night. The highest-priced Walt Disney World units are the Lake View Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian, which go for 52.6 points/night. For One-Bedroom Villas that sleep five, the lowest point requirement is the Boardwalk Standard View, which requires 28.1 points/night.
