Disney’s
Polynesian Resort & Bungalows
Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows opened on April 1, 2015, by converting rooms in three existing longhouses from the original Polynesian Resort into 360 Deluxe Studios. Also, 20 over-the-water Bungalows built over Seven Seas Lagoon were added to the resort. The complex is themed after the South Pacific and includes rooms in 11 longhouses, each named after a Pacific island. The three longhouses that were converted to DVC Studios are Tokelau, Moorea, and Pago Pago. The Studios at Polynesian Villas are the largest Deluxe Studios on any DVC property at 447 square feet and feature a split bathroom. The Bungalows sleep up to 8 but require the most points of any non-Grand Villa unit. The accommodation offerings are the least diverse of any DVC resort. There are only Studios and Bungalows at the resort, no one, two, or Three-Bedroom units.
The new Island Tower is opening in December 2024. Room Types are Duo Studios (sleeps 2); Deluxe Studios (sleeps 4); One Bedroom (sleeps 5); Two Bedroom (sleeps 9) and Two Bedroom Penthouse (sleeps 8).
The Polynesian is the last resort on the Monorail loop to have a DVC presence. The Ticket and Transportation Center located within walking distance of the DVC side of the resort. Guest have easy access to the Epcot monorail that departs from that location.
