Understanding the booking patterns of Disney Vacation Club resorts can be a powerful tool when planning future stays. By knowing which resorts, room types, and travel dates tend to book first—and when availability is most likely to open up—members can make more informed, strategic reservation decisions. This insight helps guide when to book, whether to rely on the 11-month home resort window or the 7-month window, how to choose backup options, and how to maximize flexibility with room types and travel dates. Using booking patterns thoughtfully can reduce stress, improve availability outcomes, and ultimately lead to more successful and satisfying DVC vacations.
The tables below illustrate the average number of consecutive days available for booking a designated accommodation over a week, based on data collected over the past seven years. These availability figures align with what is displayed when searching for a unit on the DVC website. To make the data easily interpretable, a traditional red-and-green light format is used: green indicates the highest availability, while any number below 7 indicates limited availability and signals caution. A total of seven means that every day of the week is available for booking.

Point Schedules:
Points in February are high compared to most other months. February 1-13 is in the 4th travel period (4 of 5). From February 14 to April 3, points fall in the highest point travel periods. (5 of 5)
Vacations at Vero during these select weeks require more points than in other months. However, guests can look forward to a wealth of availability at the resort across both the 11-month and 7-month booking windows.
Inn Rooms- Inn Rooms are situated in the main lobby building of the resort and offer a spacious, hotel-like experience. These rooms can be booked with an 11- and 7-month advance reservation. Standard views are also available for booking at a 5-month window, except during Presidents’ Week.
Studios—Studios should have no difficulty booking at the 11, 7, and even into a 5-month window for som weeks.
1 Bedroom- 1-bedroom villas should be available at both the 11-month and 7-month windows.
2-Bedroom - 2-bedrooms at Vero are both Lock-offs and Dedicated units. Both should have a vacancy when booking at the 11-month and 7-month window.
Cottages: Multi-story units with three bedrooms and ocean views. Availability should be expected at both 7 and 11 months, but if you don’t book them quickly at 7 months, they will most likely be unavailable soon.
