Aulani

Views at Aulani are Standard (Parking Deck/Conference Center), Island/Garden ( partial view of the mountains, spa, or landscaping), Poolside/Garden (view of the pool, courtyards, water features, or landscaping), and Ocean (at least a partial view of the Ocean).
Room vacancy generally fills more quickly in June for most studios/villas than at any other time of the year. Points are lower during most of June.

Hotel Room- There are 8 hotel rooms owned by DVC at Aulani, offering limited views of the parking deck. However, these units are desirable because they require 50% fewer points per night than ocean-view rooms. DVC owners often seek out these bargains. If you do not own at Aulani, it is unlikely that these units will be fully available to you at the 7-month mark. Owners will also find it difficult to book these rooms for full weeks at 11 months.

StudiosStandard, Island Garden and Poolside Garden View studios will likely have limited or no availability for non-owners at the 7-month booking window. Ocean Views will have a better chance of securing a full week.
1 Bedroom- All views of 1-bedroom villas should be available at the 7-month window, except for the Standard view units.
2-Bedroom - Ocean view rooms will most likely be available at the seven-month mark. Other views, however, will be more hit-or-miss and may require extra flexibility or persistence to secure.
Grand Villa-Standard View units are generally unavailable for year-round booking. These units, located on the lower floors of the resort, do not offer an ocean view. However, they do provide a notable benefit: they are priced about 24% lower than ocean-view units. Historically, full ocean-view availability has been limited; some ocean-view dates appear around the 7-month booking window, but rarely for an entire week.

DVC Field Guide has captured booking patterns for every DVC resort/accommodation over the last 7 years. Understanding the booking patterns of Disney Vacation Club resorts can be a powerful tool when planning future stays. By knowing which resorts, room types, and travel dates tend to book first—and when availability is most likely to open up—members can make more informed, strategic reservation decisions. This insight helps guide when to book, whether to rely on the 11-month home resort window or the 7-month window, how to choose backup options, and how to maximize flexibility with room types and travel dates. Using booking patterns thoughtfully can reduce stress, improve availability outcomes, and ultimately lead to more successful and satisfying DVC vacations.

The tables below illustrate the average number of consecutive days available for booking a designated accommodation over a week, based on data collected over the past seven years. These availability figures align with what is displayed when searching for a unit on the DVC website. To make the data easily interpretable, a traditional red-and-green light format is used: green indicates the highest availability, while any number below 7 indicates limited availability and signals caution. A total of seven means that every day of the week is available for booking.
