Disney Vacation Club-2 Bedrooms
There are more Two-Bedroom accommodations at DVC resorts than any other classification. Two-Bedroom Villas are very popular for large families who need extra sleeping space and want to stay together. These units can sleep 8 to 10 people and come with a full-sized kitchen.
To give an overview of Two-Bedroom Villas, we need to break them down into three categories. The first category is lock-off units, which are created by connecting a Studio and a One-Bedroom unit. This creates a Two-Bedroom Villa where the master bedroom is in the One-Bedroom unit, and the second bedroom is the Studio. The One-Bedroom living room serves as the third sleeping area and comes with a full-sized kitchen.
The second category is dedicated units. These are typically the same as lock-off units, except the second bedroom has two queen-size beds instead of one bed and a fold-out or pull-down. The dedicated unit will only have one outside door, whereas the lock-off will have two. Other than that, these units are virtually the same.
The third type of Two-Bedroom Villas are unique accommodations on property at Walt Disney World. These are the Bungalows at the Polynesian (20 units), Cabins at Copper Creek (26 units), and the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs (60 units). The Bungalows and Cabins have similar floor plans. The Bungalows are independent units built over Seven Seas Lagoon, complete with a deck and small pool. The Cabins at Copper Creek are separate water-front units with a private hot tub. As you would expect, the point cost for these accommodations is high, three or four times the average Two-Bedroom price, and will probably not be in the range of most DVC owners.
The third unique accommodation is the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs. These units are three bedrooms, but they only sleep nine, so Disney classifies them as Two-Bedroom accommodations. These are independent villas built about ten feet off the ground in the woods near Saratoga Springs. If you want privacy, these should be on your list. The rooms are moderately priced for a Two-Bedroom, but they have transportation issues that may make them unappealing to some.
Two-Bedrooms-Floor Plan
Every Two-Bedroom unit has a master bedroom, a second bedroom, a living/dining area, and a full-sized kitchen. Two-Bedroom Villas generally have two bathrooms, but some locations like Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village, Bay Lake Tower, and Villas at Grand Californian have three bathrooms. Two-Bedroom Villas can sleep up to 8-10 people. However, some locations may allow a ninth person to stay in the room without providing bedding, linens, or towels for that person.
The master bedroom typically has a king-size bed and a chair or desk, or both. One of the bathrooms is usually located closest to the master bedroom. In Lock-off units, the master bedroom is in the One-Bedroom unit and has a king-size bed.
The second bedroom will vary depending on the type of Two-Bedroom accommodation. In lock-off units, the second bedroom will be the Studio side of the room. These rooms have a single queen bed and a fold-out couch or a fold-down Murphy bed. If the Studio has sleeping arrangements for another person, there will be an additional small, fold-down bed. In Dedicated Two-Bedrooms, there are usually two queen-size beds in this room.
The remaining guests can sleep in the living room. In lock-offs, the living room area in the One-Bedroom section converts to sleeping accommodations. These will be either a fold-out queen couch or a fold-down queen murphy bed. Some rooms may also have a sleeper chair or pull-down bed to accommodate another person.
When not converted to a sleeping area, the living room will have a couch with a coffee table or ottoman. There is also a dedicated dining area with a table and chairs or a table with a bench and chairs.
The full kitchen is equipped with major appliances, including a stove/oven, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, sink with disposal, and a built-in microwave. The cabinets are stocked with various pots and pans, cookware and plates, silverware, and glasses.
Each unit has at least two bathrooms. Animal Kingdom Villa-Kidani Village, Bay Lake Tower, and Villas at Grand Californian have three bathrooms. Most units have a walk-in shower and tub in the master bathroom and a combination shower/tub in the other bathroom.
These accommodations also have a washer and dryer in the unit.
There are some specialty villas such as bungalows, cabins, and treehouses that have unique floor plans. The details of these accommodations are provided separately.
Two Bedrooms-Size
Two-bedroom units come in all sizes. The smallest is the value Two-Bedroom Villas at Jambo House (Animal Kingdom Villas), 945 square feet, and the largest is at Old Key West at 1,395 square feet. Most Two-Bedrooms are in the 1075-1225 square feet range.
Two Bedrooms-Point Requirement

The highest Walt Disney World resort is the Lake view room at Villas at the Grand Floridian. The Cabins at Copper Creek average 114.4 points/night for the unique Two-Bedrooms, and the Bungalows require 146.9 points.
