Which 1-Bedrooms are the hardest to book at the 7-month window?- Here are the top Ones.

1 Bedrooms can be the easiest to book at 7 months

One-bedroom villas are the least popular accommodation option at all DVC resorts. They are typically available when other room choices are fully booked. This is primarily because the value per person is significantly lower compared to studios. Despite being larger, one-bedroom villas cost about twice as much as a studio, but their occupancy generally remains the same as that of studios, which is usually 4 or 5 people.

In addition, there is consistent seasonal demand across most Disney World resorts. The fall season, along with Thanksgiving and Christmas, presents particular challenges for securing accommodations due to increased guest demand. Therefore, guests should plan ahead and be prepared for limited availability during these peak periods.

How Is Availability Determined?

In 2018, I began tracking DVC availability. Each week, I capture a snapshot of every DVC accommodation to see how many days are available for booking at 11, 7, 5, 3, and 1 month from the reservation date. You can find the details of my work at the availability link below. The tables on that link represent the average number of consecutive days available for specific accommodations over a week, based on data from the last seven years. These numbers reflect the same availability indicators you see when booking a unit on the DVC website and are color-coded using the traditional red/green light format, where green indicates the most availability. If a number is seven, it means that all days are available; any number below that indicates some level of limited availability.

Availablity Tables

Here are the hardest 1 bedrooms to book at seven months:

1. Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House - Kilimanjaro Club 1 Bedrooms Studios (1.6 days/week availability) Club rooms at Jambo House have a limited inventory of only five rooms. They are the only club-level DVC one-bedroom villas available. Due to their scarcity and club-level designation, these villas are the most challenging to book within the entire DVC system. Demand for these rooms remains consistently high year-round and has been steady for the past 7 years. Typically, when the seven-month booking window opens, there are only one or two nights available for a week-long stay.

2. Disneyland Hotel-1 Bedroom (1.6 days/week availability) We have limited data on booking patterns for the Disneyland Hotel, but it is reasonable to predict that this specific group of villas will be among the most challenging to secure. There will be only 19 of these rooms available when the entire resort is fully open to guests. Demand for availability at the Disneyland Hotel is among the highest, especially at the seven-month mark, across all room and villa types.

3. Polynesian Resort View (Island Tower) (2.8 days/week availability) The Polynesian Island Tower has been open for just over a year, so we have limited data on reservation availability for this villa type. There are three views available for the one-bedroom villas at the Polynesian Resort: Resort, Preferred, and Theme Park. The Resort view offers a parking lot view, making its points per night significantly lower than the other two views, typically by 15-25%. Generally, resort-view rooms are more in demand due to their affordability compared to other options. There are 27 of these villas available when the resort is fully declared.

4. Animal Kingdom Lodge-Jambo House-Value (2.9 days/week availability). With the exception of the cabins, these one-bedroom accommodations offer the lowest nightly points requirement of any DVC resort. Located on the fifth floor of Jambo House, these rooms are especially popular among DVC fans. Similar to the Kilimanjaro Club one-bedrooms, they are challenging to book year-round. For 2026, the average number of points required per night is only 22.4, with a range between 17 and 35 points per night. These DVC rooms were created from existing Jambo House accommodations without initial consideration for DVC. While they are smaller than the standard DVC one-bedroom at Jambo House, measuring 629 square feet, they include all the familiar DVC room layouts and amenities.

5. Polynesian Preferred View (Island Tower) (2.8 days/week availability) As mentioned earlier, the Polynesian Island Tower has been open for just over a year, so we have limited data on reservation availability for this villa type. Among the three views available for the one-bedroom villas at the Polynesian Island Tower, the preferred view has the fewest units, with only 10 available. This preferred view offers a lake view from upper floors 3 to 6, which may make this option more desirable.

6. Bay Lake Tower Resort View (3.3 days/week availability) These villas are the most affordable one-bedroom accommodations on the monorail loop, averaging 34.1 points per night. Guests can stay in these studios for as little as 24 points per night. There are 147 total one bedrooms at Bay Lake but there are only 24 of these units. They are just a short walk from the Magic Kingdom.
